SIFTED

IMG_1271 - Copy

Long before canned biscuits were invented, my grandmother made biscuits by hand, with sifted flour, in a bowl that beautifully shows the imperfections of rugged life.  Born in 1877, she raised 12 children and taught my mother how to make biscuits just like she did.

The sifting  screened out things that didn’t belong and improved the finished product.  In the same way, God uses sifting – the trials and tribulations of this world – to refine our spiritual character and  bring us closer to the likeness of His Son.
